Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha says President Muhammadu Buhari may likely return back to the country in two weeks time. Speaking with British Broadcasting Corporation on Monday, Okorocha who was in the delegation that met Buhari, said the president was in high spirits.
According to the governor, Sunday’s meeting with the President had put the “merchants of lies” out of business.
“Nigerians will not buy the garbage they have been selling. All those who look up to fake news can find better use for their time,” Okorocha said. The president laughed when he was asked to react to the negative things being said about him, said Okorocha.
The governor said Buhari was completely unperturbed by the “cocktail of lies” but instead, sent his best wishes to Nigerians.
Muhammadu Buhari has been away since May 7 of this year receiving medical treatment abroad for an undisclosed ailment. Concerned Nigerians have reacted negatively to this prolonged absence of the president stating that he should just resign if he could no longer discharge his duties as president.
