Chelsea now seem to be on the verge of sacking Maurizio Sarri, just months since the managers’ arrival at Stamford Bridge. Following the club’s unconvincing win against Malmo in Europa League, the Blues is now out from the FA Cup because of their embarrassing loss against Manchester United.
It is no secret that Chelsea have a disastrous form in away games recently, and now Sarri is not even able to win some easy games while playing at home. Perhaps Europa League triumph will be Sarri’s only hope to prolong his Chelsea career.
#1 Zinedine Zidane
Many are already regarding Zinedine Zidane as one of the best managers in the world despite his relatively short tenure as a head coach. Zidane’s achievements at Real Madrid already speak for his managerial prowess. His notable successes including 1 La Liga, and historic 3 consecutive Champions League titles.
Recent rumors state that Zidane is becoming Chelsea’s favorite to replace Sarri. Zidane is known for his man-management and could significantly boost his players’ confidence while dimming their ego. This managerial skills will benefit Chelsea following their poor run, and they could even prevent Eden Hazard from joining other clubs.

Laurent Blanc may not be the most decorated manager in Europe but, many know that he is a serial winner. Blanc got many notable domestic achievements for managing Bordeaux and PSG. At Bordeaux, Blanc won Ligue 1 and French League Cup in 2008/09 season. Blanc’s trophy run extended when he was taking charge at PSG, winning 3 consecutive league titles and several other domestic cups.
Blanc loves to play attacking football. Both PSG and former club Bordeaux have recorded the highest possession in France with Blanc at the helm. With this kind of style, he could rebuild Sarri’s attacking philosophy while adding a winning mentality to Chelsea. Blanc also could do wonders with a tight budget, thanks to his managerial experience at Bordeaux.
#3 Jose Mourinho
Not many could argue about Jose Mourinho’s winning mentality. Despite having a nightmare in his last season in charge at Manchester United, Mourinho will never be short of offers to manage other big clubs. Now Chelsea fans would rather have some major trophies with Mourinho’s defensive football than win nothing with Sarri’s beautiful style of play.
Chelsea already sacked Mourinho twice but, a third stint at the Stamford Bridge is not impossible for the Portuguese manager. History already proves for many clubs that hiring Mourinho is a guarantee for a trophy. Even when Mourinho’s third season syndrome about to persists again, Chelsea could still capitalize his first 2 seasons to go back to winning ways.
