Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season will conclude with Monday Night Football between the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers. Before making your MNF predictions, it is necessary to understand the odds on the game while also being familiar with the two teams.
Our experts are bringing you exactly what you need in those departments, breaking down the matchup before the festivities get underway on Monday night in Los Angeles. The odds we present will all be courtesy of BetMGM Sportsbook.

The first of our experts’ Monday Night Football picks is on the Cowboys to win and cover against the Chargers. This is a buy-low opportunity with the Cowboys, and buy-low opportunities obviously represent good value. Dallas got absolutely destroyed by the San Francisco 49ers last weekend, which is a big reason why it is favored by only 1.5 points against Los Angeles.
Of course, there are always wild fluctuations from week to week in the NFL and there is no reason why Dak Prescott and company can’t bounce back in Week 6. A lot of that has to do with the fact that the Cowboys are facing a much less spectacular opponent in the form of the Chargers. Whereas the Niners boast arguably the best defense in the entire league, the Bolts are soft in the secondary and their season sack total (16) is inflated by Khalil Mack’s six against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Los Angeles is 2-2 straight up and even though it beat Las Vegas, the offense did not score a single point in the second half of that contest. Dallas looks like the better team on both sides of the ball and even if Mike McCarthy has some faults, he should have the head-coaching edge over Brandon Staley. All signs point to a win for the Cowboys, which is why they get the nod in our Monday Night Football predictions.
If you want more MNF picks, you have come to the right place. Our experts also like the over in this matchup, with the game total set at 51 points. This one has the feel of a shootout. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is comfortable throwing down the field, and – as we saw last week – the Cowboys are lacking without Trevon Diggs (torn ACL) in the secondary.
On the other side of the ball, this is the kind of game in which Prescott excels. CeeDee Lamb was challenged this week by former NFL All-Pro turned broadcaster Richard Sherman about being a No. 1 receiver, so he should be eager to show what he is capable of against a Chargers cornerback corps that is not particularly impressive – and is now even worse on paper after trading J.C. Jackson to New England last week.
Both teams should be able to move the ball up and down the field in this contest. All things considered, the second of our MNF predictions is on the over 51 (-110 at BetMGM).

Before making your Monday Night Football picks, it is important to be aware of the odds. Dallas is a -1.5 underdog at BetMGM Sportsbook, making Los Angeles a +1.5 underdog. Both sides come with -110 odds. That means an $11 bet on the Cowboys is successful and returns $10 of profit if they win by at least two points. An $11 wager on the Chargers gets you $10 in winnings if they either win outright, tie or lose by exactly one point.
The game total, or over/under, is set at 51 points and both sides are priced at -110. That means an $11 wager on the over is successful and nets $10 in winnings if the two teams combine for at least 52 points. An $11 bet on the under returns $10 of profit if no more than 50 points are scored. If the game finishes with exactly 51 points, all bets are pushed, and the stakes are returned.
Monday Night Football between Dallas and Los Angeles will kick off at 8:15 pm ET on ABC. Before it does, you can back our Monday Night Football predictions and capitalize on this generous BetMGM offer by clicking here to register.
