Heavy rain in the East Midlands led to the pitch at Burton's Pirelli Stadium being deemed unplayable
Three of Tuesday's English Football League and National League games have been postponed because of waterlogged pitches.
In League One, the basement battle between Burton in 18th and Cheltenham, sat eight points back in 22nd but with two games in hand, was called off.
After consistent heavy rainfall in the region on Tuesday, the playing surface at the Pirelli Stadium was deemed unplayable when the match officials arrived just before 18:00 GMT.
In League Two, Walsall's mid-table match at home to Morecambe was also called off just an hour before kick-off, with the visitors having completed the first leg of a 250-mile round-trip.
There was an even longer journey in the National League as struggling Dorking's game at promotion-chasing Altrincham was postponed.
Their 420-mile round-trip was in vain as the game was called off after an inspection shortly after 17:00 GMT.
Information regarding tickets and the rearrangement of the fixture will be announced in due course.
