RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is reportedly favouring a move to Arsenal this summer. The £45m-rated forward has been attracting interest from several clubs including Chelsea and Manchester United, as well as from Italy.
However, it seems that the Gunners are leading the race for his signature. This comes as a significant boost for Mikel Arteta who is keen on bringing in a young striker to work alongside Kai Havertz, who had an impressive season with Arsenal last year.
Sesko's agent, Elvis Basanovic, has been spotted at Arsenal matches this season, further fuelling the rumours. Despite only being with RB Leipzig for a year, the club is willing to sell if the right deal comes along.
football.london understands Arsenal are still pursuing a potential move for Sesko and are still hoping they can find room to negotiate down the player's reported release clause of £45m.
Sesko, who turns 21 this Friday, is part of the Slovenia squad for the Euros and will face England in the Group stages. Standing at 6ft 5in, he boasts a good goal record and is one of the names on Arsenal's shortlist.
Other potential targets include Ajax's Brian Bobbey and Brighton's Evan Ferguson, while Brentford's Ivan Toney and Newcastle's Alexander Isak are no longer being considered, reports the Mirror.

Arsenal are not expected to make a blockbuster signing this summer, but they are on the lookout for a promising striker and a winger. Additionally, they might also be in the market for a midfielder if Thomas Partey decides to leave.
They will have funds available for transfers, but Arsenal are also anticipating some departures. Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, and Emile Smith Rowe could potentially leave, while Bayern Munich are keeping an eye on Oleksandr Zinchenko's situation.
