As we trust the Holy Spirit to bring us into the light of this subject matter; I will like to quickly say this, for I perceive in my spirit a need for it.
It begins with everything God would ever have you do, or ever wish you have settled first of all for. If not, there is nothing to begin with as far as spirituality is concerned, it must be real, it must be genuine. I hope you are consciously sure that you are born again? I am afraid, should your born again experience be limited to theory, mere doctrine, or intellectual assumption. It would be alright if it were based on the conviction of sin, that resulted in the revelation of sin and provision of Grace by Christ Jesus to your soul through the Spirit of God. Which you consciously repented of your sins genuinely and accepted the Lord Jesus to save you and give you a new life, (eternal life). If you have done this genuinely, congratulations!
But should it be that you are still in the assumption mood, and not convicted in order to turn unto the Lord Jesus, the way, the author of divine life, the Messiah – Saviour, to reconcile you with your eternal Father, please, why not use this privilege to accept and surrender to Jesus to save you from spiritual enmity with God, eternal wrath, condemnation, and Death. Congratulations to you too, if you genuinely did it.
WHAT IS YOUR LIFE MEANT TO ACHIEVE FOR GOD?
Oftentimes, people seem to attribute the ownership of their life to themselves, as if it were originally meant to serve their own personal desires. It is sad that a prostitute lives and earn her living by commercial sex activities, as if her life was gotten from the market same way she bought her garments.
God our Father, the owner of our life and the breathe in our nostrils is too purpose minded to create anybody for fun, to exist for nothing. But if you were to be asked of the use you have committed the life you were given by God, would the response be that it has been committed to the right cause of divine Will?
It does not matter the story surrounding your birth. It could be that, you were a product of multiple parents, unable to identify who your mother is, or your mother is unable to trace your father to one man. Scientists have tried to help you out but all attempt was in vain. It is humanly sad, but that is never enough reason for you to conclude that God has nothing definite for you, or have no assigned task for you. However, your life is never for fun! Allow that to sink into every fibre of your whole being. Never allow it escape you.
As good and financially promising the job you do is, it cannot replace the divine purpose for your life. No matter how tangible what your hand have found doing is, until your soul has caught the revelation of what you started the journey to the earth years ago for, you are underutilizing your God given abilities, authority, and potentials.
There was an account of a member of the Jewish Supreme Court the Holy Spirit wishes to draw our attention to. This man (Jewish lawyer), in all his life had never met Jesus one on one until the day Jesus was crucified. He had no prior discussion with Christ on any matter. Jesus never prophesied to him in any way that he had a duty divinely assigned to him to bury His crucified body after His three and half years of His earthly ministry ended.
But, when duty called on this man, he was fully ready for divine assignment promptly. See what he did. After permission he sought for was granted him by Pilate, (the Roman Governor in Jerusalem);
“…Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock, where no one had ever lain before…”(Luke 23:50 – 54).
Do you see how this lawyer fulfilled the divine Will, purpose, for his life? What do you think would have gone wrong if he had failed to act in the Will of God? Maybe, God would have sent angels to bury the body of Jesus like it happened in the case of Moses, the servant of God.
You and I know that His disciples would not come near. They did not have the qualification to stand before Pilate, ordinary fishermen from Galilee, to go and make demand for the body of Jesus to them would have been seen as suicide mission.
Do you notice the danger of living, yet failing God in His divine Will and plan for you? Don’t you think the world today would have been a more better place to live if every individual that had gone through this earth before, and all that are privileged to go through it now all fulfill the divine counsel God have for their life?
I will ask you again, what is God raising you to do in your lifetime? How prepared are you aligning yourself to the divine purpose for your life? He will not pursue you about. Have you entered into His fold so you could find the use for your life? Hear the testimony of God concerning Joseph of Aramatea again, the Jewish lawyer, “…he was a godly man who had been expecting the Messiah’s coming and had not agreed with the decision and actions of the other Jewish leaders…” (vs. 52).
God cannot be mocked. As many that come to the Lord must know that He is – faithful, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. He searches the heart, Whatever you do with your life may be right in your eyes, but God cannot be deceived by anyone’s self approved judgment. For He searches the heart and weighs the motive of the heart not the mouth, of anything we do or say. Even as we cry Lord, Lord, He is not moved as long as our hearts do not join to proclaim Him Lord over our soul. The moment you open your mouth and say Lord, He first weighs and examine the motive. What testimony could He give concerning you; the one that knows all men spontaneously.
God is raising you for His own purpose. Do not let God have a lose business in His investment over your life. Eternally, it would not profit you anything nor will it profit God. Release your life into His hands, come into conscious fellowship with Him to receive illumination from His divine Life; until your weakness and limitation is swallowed by His greatness and resurrection power. And follow Him without any alternative to Him. Then you will be fit for His use. Don’t just stop only at just wishing you were saved, dreaming or desiring divine communion.
Locate the Way, (Jesus) enter through the Way to eat and dine with the good shepherd. Make this a hunger and reality to be found in Him doing His Will for you. He beckons for you to enter!
