There is a saying that everything rises and fall on leadership. When things are not going well in a nation or a community, even in organizations; whether big or small, the first thing people inquire into is the manner of leadership that is in place in such nations, communities or organizations.
President Buhari recently attributed Nigeria security challenges to internal and external factors except himself. One of the failures of leadership is when the leader is trying so hard to justify the failings and inadequacies under his watch. This is what President Buhari has been doing in his three and half years in office, blaming everyone and everything as the reason he has underperform.
For almost two years, he blamed the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) past maladministration as the reasons for his lack of performance and the failure of the economy. At a point, himself and his chief liar minister of information, Lai Mohammed; said Boko Haram is fostering because most of the arms used in the Libya revolution that ousted Muammar Ghathafi had found their way into Nigeria’s Boko Haram terrorist group.
Buhari’s security chiefs are underperforming but he has not seen any reason to change them because of his despotic and nepotistic tendencies. Buhari for once had never deem it fit that he should reinforce and strengthen Nigeria’s porous borders. He blames everything for his failures except himself.
Nigerians, think. Any leader leader that cannot take responsibility for his actions and inactions is not worthy to be called one. Buhari has never taking responsibility for anything, and therefore; is not deserving of that exalted position.
