Fulani community in Kwara State has pledged to support Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The community consists of the indigenous Fulani and Bororo people.
The leaders of the community, Alhaji Garba Dembo (Jowuro Oyun) and Mallam Usman Garba (Fulani/ Bororo union’s secretary), made the promise on Friday when they paid a solidarity visit to Saraki at his Ilorin residence.
Jowuro Oyun promised that his people would vote for all PDP candidates the elections.
The said, “The late Dr Olusola Saraki, during his lifetime, contributed immensely to the growth and development of Kwara State. As a result of this, we, the Fulani and Bororo, are prepared to reciprocate the kind gesture of the late Saraki by giving his son, Dr Bukola Saraki, 100 per cent support.”
