The newly appointed Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed on Saturday performed his first official assignment with the inauguration of members of the general election tribunals.
The inauguration of the 250 members of the tribunal comes just a day after President Muhammad Buhari suspended Justice Walter Onnoghen as CJN on the orders of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
Justice Mohammed urged the members of the election tribunal to work towards upholding the integrity of the judiciary.
