The Super Eagles, Nigeria’s national football team, have left their training base in Abu Dhabi, UAE and are heading back to Lagos. Before their departure, they will attend a send-off dinner hosted by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The team was in Abu Dhabi for about a week, focusing on tactics and preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in 2023. During their time in camp, they played two friendly matches. The first game was against local club Al Gharib, which they won convincingly with a scoreline of 12-0. Unfortunately, in their second friendly match, they were defeated 2-0 by the Syli Stars of Guinea.
On Wednesday, the team will travel to Abidjan, where they will be accommodated at the Pullman Hotel. This is part of their further preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Overall, the Super Eagles have had a productive training camp in Abu Dhabi, and now they are ready to move forward with their preparations in Abidjan before the tournament starts.
