Hundreds of applicants have been left stranded at the ongoing physical and credentials screening of the ninth regular course intake of Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.
The affected applicants, who were invited from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for the recruitment processes in Kano, worried over the omission of their names on the certified list of applicants.
Others lamented outright disqualification from the list of the next stage of the exercise after scaling through the first stage.
The Guardian learnt that over 10,000 applicants were shortlisted nationwide for the professional police regimental and degree programme in Kano, out of hundreds of thousands that applied.
Commandant of the Academy, AIG Ahmad Abdurrahman, was not available to address journalists, an insider advised applicants, who had challenges, to channel their complaints to the appropriate authorities.
