Chukwudi Akasike, Port Harcourt Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have arrested a suspected burglar identified as Promise Gbogimi (male, 23 years old). At least 464 students of Madinatul- A habab Markaz Community School in Daura, graduated from the school after completing the reading of 60 portions of the Holy Quran. The Director of the school, Malam Abdullahi Lawan, announced this in Daura, Katsina State on Saturday when he addressed guests at the 59th graduation ceremony. The Ebonyi Government on Saturday confiscated a building belonging to Mr Ikechukwu Eze, accused of collecting revenue illegally. Eze, known as “Power”, was alleged to have engaged in illegal collection of revenue for state government. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Dr Kenneth Ugbala, the Senior Special Adviser (SSA) to the State Governor on Internal Security, led the chairman and members of the State’s Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) to impound the building.
