There have been fresh calls for restrictions on the sale of the painkiller ibuprofen after another study found it heightens the risk of cardiac arrest. Taking the over-the-counter drug was associated with a 31 per cent increased risk, Danish researchers have found. Other medicines from the same group of painkillers, known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, presented an even higher risk, according to the findings published today (Wednesday) in the European Heart Journal. Two children have lost their mother after a bus they were travelling in had an accident along Ibadan-Ijebu Expressway. Though details of the accident is sketchy, Olawale Asiru Tope who works for the Ogun State Hospital Management Board, Abeokuta, in a Facebook post said the children were on admission at the State Hospital Ijebu Ode (Iye Subomi Child Care Centre).
