Manchester United have held “positive” talks with Ajax coach Erik ten Hag about the vacant manager’s job at Old Trafford, it was reported on Wednesday. Ralf Rangnick has been in charge of the misfiring Premier League giants on an interim basis since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked in November after nearly three years in charge. The football associations of England, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales on Wednesday formally submitted their joint bid to host Euro 2028 to European governing body UEFA. Some tertiary institution students have resorted to learning different kinds of skills following the announcement of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to extend its one-month warning strike by another two months. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has expressed concern over low voter registration in Yobe. The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mr Ahmad Makama, expressed the concern on Wednesday in Damaturu when he received a commendation letter presented to the commission by Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Yobe chapter. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has disassociated itself from clandestine groups organising to destabilise the country as alleged by the Department of State Services (DSS). The NLC President, Mr Ayuba Wabba said this in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday night in Abuja.
