The Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit Zone A, Ikeja, Lagos State, on Wednesday, confirmed the killing of a smuggler in the Badagry area of the state. The spokesperson for the unit, Theophilus Duniya, who confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday, said the deceased and his gang members attacked both the officers of the NCS and the army while smuggling foreign parboiled rice and vehicles along the area. The Senate, on Wednesday, passed a bill seeking an upward review of salaries, allowances and other fringe benefits of judicial officers in the country.
