It is estimated that 3.1 million Nigerians are living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS). To halt the spread and ensure that those living with the virus have easy access to anti-retroviral drugs, the Federal Government needs to discontinue engaging contractors in the procurement of anti-retroviral drugs. Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has granted state pardon to a popular actress, Mrs Funke Akindele-Bello and her husband, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bello, who were both non-custodial convicts for offences related to the disobedience of COVID-19 lockdown regulations.
