Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has urged his former club to steer clear of signing former Real Madrid captain Karim Benzema.
Benzema, who currently plays for Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League, has been linked with a move away from the club.
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in the Frenchman.
However, Petit believes that the 34-year-old Benzema will not want to join the physically and mentally demanding Premier League after experiencing success with Real Madrid.
Petit also highlights that no English club will be able to match the salary Benzema currently earns in Saudi Arabia.
As a result, he suggests that Arsenal should consider other options instead.
