Former Newcastle United star, Alan Shearer has told Erik Ten Hag to sell Manchester United striker, Anthony Martial, insisting the Frenchman is not good enough for the club.
The France international came on from the substitute bench in the second half of their game against West Ham on Sunday evening but could not make an impact as United slipped to a 1-0 defeat.
Martial had the chance to level the play for the visitors but his effort was denied by Hammers goalkeeper, Lukasz Fabianski in injury-time.
It would not be surprising if the Frenchman leaves the club at the end of the season as he was expected to do so last summer.
The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan to La Liga side Sevilla but Ten Hag decided to keep him at Old Trafford.
“Anthony Martial has had enough time at Manchester United,” Shearer said on Premier League Productions after West Ham’s crucial win.
“He’s not good enough to take Man United to where they want to be.
“If he was good enough he would be starting on a regular basis and he would be scoring goals.”
