Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has expressed his distress over the recent attack by bandits on Southern Kaduna communities.
The attack resulted in the loss of numerous lives and the kidnapping of residents. According to a former councillor, 17 people were killed and 58 others were feared kidnapped during the invasion of three villages in Kauru Local Government Area.
The attackers engaged in a gun duel with the villagers, leading to the rescue of 20 individuals but the death of nine others. Governor Sani condemned the killings and referred to the attackers as “beasts in human skin.” He pledged to hunt down the perpetrators and deliver justice, stating that their aim is to undo the progress made in rebuilding trust in the state.
