Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison is part of Real Madrid’s 3-man shortlist to replace Karim Benzema at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos are the other two players on the shortlist to take over from Benzema at Real Madrid.
Benzema’s contract with Real Madrid is set to expire at the end of the season.
The Ballon d’Or winner is expected to be handed a short-term deal at the least.
However, if Benzema doesn’t renew, or even for future purposes, Real Madrid have kept a list of players ready that includes the likes of Richarlison, Mbappe and Ramos.
Richarlison has failed to impress at Tottenham this season. The Brazilian international has scored only two goals and has registered four assists in 26 matches for Antonio Conte’s side so far this term.
Mbappe was linked with a move to the Spanish LaLiga champions in the summer, but the France international, however, decided to stay put at PSG.
Ramos, meanwhile, rose to prominence during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Portugal international scored a hat-trick against Switzerland in the round of 16.
