Kenneth Okonkwo, a spokesperson for the Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of causing the current hardship being experienced in Nigeria.
Okonkwo claimed that the hardship was “technically glitched” on Nigerians by INEC, referring to the electoral body’s failure to transmit results of the last presidential election to its result viewing portal.
INEC had promised to transmit election results online in real-time but failed to do so, leading to doubts about the credibility of the final result.
The Supreme Court has ruled that INEC has the power to determine how it transmits election results.
Meanwhile, in a post on social media, Okonkwo cursed corrupt INEC officials, saying they were the ones who have caused pain for Nigerians by rigging elections.
He called upon God to multiply hardship and suffering on those officials.
