Portugal coach Roberto Martinez has defended Rasmus Hojlund, stating that it would be unfair to judge him solely based on his lack of goals.
Hojlund had several opportunities to score in Manchester United’s FA Cup win over Wigan, but was unable to convert.
Martinez believes that Hojlund is a committed player who contributes in other ways, and that with more confidence, the goals will come.
He also highlighted the importance of looking at the ball when heading but acknowledged that sometimes a goal can come from a lucky deflection.
