Ted Piolunowicz admitted going on to the pitch during Port Vale's home game against Portsmouth in January.
A man who went on to the pitch at Port Vale Football Club has been banned from going to football matches for five years.
Ted Piolunowicz, of Newshaw Walk, Stoke-on-Trent, admitted entering the playing area at a football match, having previously denied that charge and one of using threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear or violence, which was dropped.
He was charged after the incident during Port Vale's home game against Portsmouth in January.
The 63-year-old was handed a five year football banning order at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court on Thursday.
