Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was met with awkward silence and mocking remarks when he asked whether people were looking forward to the Euro 2024 football tournament – for which Wales have not qualified – on the first full day of general election campaigning.
During a visit to a brewery in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, Mr Sunak also attacked the Welsh government over speed limits and said patients were being let down by the state of the Welsh NHS.
