The Federal Government of Nigeria has established the National Health Research Committee (NHRC) to address citizens’ health challenges and contribute to global health solutions. The committee, consisting of 13 members, will be chaired by Prof. Olufunmilayo Olopade. The Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, emphasized that the government’s vision for the health and well-being of Nigerians goes beyond the present challenges. He stated that research plays a vital role in guiding the nation towards healthier lives.
The committee comprises experts from various fields of health and medicine, and Alausa called on them to exceed expectations.
