Our society today is not lacking in men and women; but grossly lacking in made men and women. From the pulpit to the pew, and from the leaders to the followers; we are deficient in our make-up. We are so deficient that many people have resorted to physical make-up to cover up the inner deficiency in them. A generation of people who love praise without function; hence, we compromise to get praises – over our appearnaces, our children, our marriages, our leadership and understanding.
Yet, what we all need is to be made whatever we want people to “praise” us in or for. Before I move from here, let me share a portion of the Bible with us:
Now a leper camer to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing, be cleansed.”
Mark 1:40-41
For this leper, what he wanted was to be ‘made clean’ – and as soon as Jesus responded to his heart-cry; he was ‘made clean’. A leper in Israel could not stay with other people, he could not ‘vote’; neither could he be ‘voted for’. He was limited and weak because of his leprousy. However, as soon as he sought the attention of Jesus Christ, he was ‘made clean’. Yours may not be leprosy, and you may be physically strong; you may need to be ‘made a leader’ or you want to be made a married man or woman. Whatever thing you desire to be made; Jesus Christ is not only WILLING to make you – He CAN make you!
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, throughwhom also He made the worlds.
Hebrews 1:1-2
See, if God made the worlds through Christ; then, you need Christ Jesus to be made in this world. Why then seek salvation elsewhere? Why asking the world to make you rich, make you famous, make you happy and make you great. Your true making can only be from the Lord Jesus Christ – for it to be lasting: For He is the only one Who has the seal and the zeal of God to make all things (including your life, marriage, business and destiny) beautifully new.
Then He who sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new….
