Meghan Markle’s half-brother, Thomas, says he tried to warn the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, against marrying his half-sister.
He made this known in a trailer that revealed his participation in the Australian Celebrity Big Brother show, Sky News reported.
In the trailer, Thomas, who shares the same father as Meghan said, “I told Prince Harry, ‘I think she’s going to ruin your life’.”
While referring to himself as the “biggest brother of all times”, he also described Meghan as being “very shallow.”
During the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Thomas was absent as it was reported that he wrote to the duke that Meghan was “obviously not the right woman for him.”
Prince Harry and Meghan’s royal estrangement
Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan is one of the factors that led to the duo’s royal estrangement, which was based on the issue of racism as Meghan is a black woman.
Markle told Oprah Winfrey in the interview that she contemplated suicide after joining the British royal family and raised allegations of racism, including official concern about the skin color of their child.
The explosive statements prompted messages of support, as well as barbs against the monarchy.
As a result, Prince Harry moved his black wife and son to California to break a family cycle of “pain and suffering”, thereby separating themselves from the royal family.
