Nnenna Osu, a hairdresser, has filed for divorce at the Customary Court in Nyanya, alleging domestic violence and abandonment by her husband, Frank Osu.
She claimed that her husband repeatedly physically abused her, using a cane and leaving bruises on her body.
Nnenna also stated that Frank borrowed N350,000 from her and left the country, abandoning her and their children.
She requested custody of their children, dissolution of the marriage, and a monthly upkeep of N50,000, including covering their school fees.
The respondent, Frank, was absent during the court proceedings.
The case has been adjourned until February 1 for further hearings.
