Ahead of their quarter-final clash with Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Super Eagles of Nigeria have reassured fans that goals will come in “torrents.”
The team’s media officer, Babafemi Raji, made the assurance in an interview on Channels Television.
So far in the tournament, Nigeria has scored five goals, with a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea, 1-0 wins against Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau, and a 2-0 victory over Cameroon.
Raji spoke about coach Jose Peseiro’s attacking tactics and his preference for beautiful and attacking football.
Nigeria will hope to showcase their goal-scoring prowess in the upcoming match against Angola.
