Sadiya Umar Farouq, a former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, has appeared at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office.
She served in the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari. The EFCC is investigating allegations that N37,170,855,753.44 was laundered by a contractor named James Okwete during Farouq’s tenure. Farouq confirmed on social media that she went to the EFCC headquarters to provide clarifications regarding the ongoing investigation.
