Guernsey's record goalscorer Ross Allen took his tally to six goals in his last five appearances
Guernsey FC went 16th in Isthmian League South Central after a 5-3 win over fellow strugglers Chipstead.
Daniel Vaughan's 21st-minute own goal and a Ross Allen penalty soon after saw the islanders race into a 2-0 lead.
Charlton Gauvain's composed finish on the stroke of half time made it 3-0 before Allen made it 4-0 eight minutes after the restart with a powerful shot.
Daniel Berry and Jordy Ndozid each scored in a three-minute spell with 20 minutes to go as Chipstead ended well.
Matt Loaring continued his excellent recent run of form with a powerful close-range finish to score his fifth goal in his last seven Guernsey appearances with 10 minutes left.
But Jack Leahy ensured Chipstead had something more to celebrate as he scored a penalty deep in stoppage time to make it 5-3.
It meant the Green Lions got a second win in three matches as Tony Vance's side scored five goals in a game for the first time since they were 8-2 winners over Staines Town on 9 February 2022.
Guernsey had started the day 19th, but the win sees them move up three places as Chipstead replace them immediately above the relegation places.
"It wasn't a 5-3 game, I thought we were pretty dominant to be honest," Guernsey manager Tony Vance said.
"I thought we were clinical, I thought our work rate was outstanding from front to back – all over the pitch we hunted them down and we didn't give them an inch," he added to BBC Radio Guernsey.
"I thought our finishing was really strong as well, but at times – and I know this sounds ridiculous after what I just said – but also we were a little bit soft and weren't ruthless enough at times.
"At 4-0 we really could have finished off some really good moves and good chances to take them out of sight and then two sloppy goals causes us a little bit of a wobble."
