It’s here! It’s finally here!
After months of speculation and excitement surrounding Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge’s trip to India, the couple landed in Mumbai Sunday. The highly anticipated trip kicked off with a whirlwind of events and consequently, a slew of sensational outfits from the royal formerly known as Kate Middleton.
Kate wasted no time wowing onlookers in outfits both by Indian and British designers. She looked stunning in Alexander McQueen for the couple’s arrival…
… but really knocked it out of the park later that day for a charity cricket match in a colorful, flowy dress by Indian designer Anita Dongre.
While cricket outfits typically involve a collared shirt, pants and sneakers, Kate opted for a pair of heels with her dress.
It’s not the duchess’ first time wearing less than typical footwear to play sports. This time playing cricket, she traded in dig-in-the-grass heels for a wedge style instead. While the choice might seem uncomfortable, Kate looked at ease during the match.
Like, really at ease.
For a Bollywood-inspired charity gala later that evening, Kate changed into something a bit fancier: a spectacular royal blue Jenny Packham gown that was hand-beaded in India, which she paired with a matching color clutch and earrings.
Three stylish outfits in one day? She sure is setting the bar high for the remainder of the trip.
