In the word of Jesus Christ, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” (John 9:4).
Each time I remember that statement from Jesus and also note how many years He spent in Israel on the work God sent Him to do; I wonder what on earth is happening in Nigeria – our Fatherland!
At age 30, He began His public ministry (service) and at 33+, He left the earth for heaven – where He came from. Implying that He only had 3 and half years to do the work He was on earth to do.
President Buhari was elected in 2015 as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to fix the many problems created by the past administrations – the very thing he vowed to do if elected. Down the line, he is never close to fulfilling any of his promises, yet time – both his and ours is ticking. He was 73 years in 2015, and now 76+.
If the word of Jesus must be followed, if there is indeed a night when NO ONE whether Jesus or president Buhari can work; then, I must submit that President Buhari is already in his night time. A time he isn’t expected to work, but to sleep and rest on; while he watches younger minds, hearts, hands and legs working.
If you mean well for Nigeria as I do, please allow President Buhari to go on and rest well – for in the night time, NO ONE works. Or can you allow your own Grandpa to be running errands for Nigerians at old age? Show some respect to Buhari, let him rest well at such a time as this. I only wish him goodnight rest!
Let President Buhari support the new generations of leaders in Nigeria for the promised change to become a reality!
