One thing is clear among many other facts or figures that people don’t always remember what you said, where you said and what you wore when you said. The human memory, even though is potent; is built to remember important things. The human memory functions in a manner that replaces the old with new. Should you therefore desire the old to remain; something extra than normal must be done.
Come to think of it, if the memory does not auto erase irrelevant or has important things; how come the people of most nations recycle corrupt, deceptive and dictatorial politicians in government? That is why it is advised in the Bible, “Write the visions, make it plain on tablets, that may run he that reads it.” (Habakkuk 2:2).
If the memory does not erase, when the need to write the visions? Wouldn’t the memory and it recap be enough? However, to avoid the loss of important information, you are advised to write them down.
Just recently, I found a secret that can help your relationships ad can make you remain in their memories for a longer time.
“I had many things to write, but I do not wish to write to you with pen and ink; but I hope to see you shortly, and we shall speak face to face. Peace to you. Our friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.
3 John 3:13-14
“...Our friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.“ While that looks like a mere happy ending phrase; it also carry a great wisdom for effective relationships. For most people, the only time their names are mentioned is when they do wrong things; however, if you can greet people by their names, and praise people by their names, you can make their days and thus, have a good space on their memories allocated to you.
The question is, “Who cares about people who doesn’t care about them?” If you don’t care, people won’t care; if you must get a space in their busy minds; then you must be mindful of them. That is how it works! Try it and get in touch with me – share your experience – I love to read or hear them!
