Friday Amobi, Port Harcourt
The Rivers State Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Mr. Edison Daminabo, has called on Christians in the North not to avenge the killings of their brothers in the northern part of the country.
Daminabo, who also described the killings of Christians in the North as a blessing to the faith, expressed worries over the recurrent killings and kidnappings in Rivers State.
The cleric made this remark in Port Harcourt on Tuesday while briefing newsmen ahead of the visit of the church’s General Superintendent, Pastor William Kumuyi, for a crusade tagged ‘Rivers Double Portion’ scheduled for the state capital on Saturday.
Daminabo pointed out that the killing of men of God in the North by suspected Muslim extremists was a passing phase, adding that the Christian faith would flourish.
The state overseer of the ministry also averred that God would revenge the killings of His people in due time, stressing that any Christian that took up the fight would miss heaven.
