The Ogun State Government has announced that it is ready to present Certificates of Occupancy and other title documents to another batch of beneficiaries under the Homeowners’ Charter.
A statement by the state government quoted the Director-General, Bureau of Lands and Survey, Mr. Biyi Ismail, as saying that 1,000 beneficiaries would be given their documents on Tuesday.
The DG said all contacted beneficiaries must present valid means of identification and photocopies of same, and should be at the venue by 8am for accreditation.
Meanwhile, the state government has unfolded plans to construct 550 housing units in Idi-Aba area of Abeokuta.
According to a statement made available to our correspondent, the government said the project was part of its mission towards providing affordable housing for its citizens.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing Development and General Manager of the Ogun State Housing Corporation, Mrs. Jumoke Akinwunmi, was quoted as saying that the housing estate would sit on 26 hectares of land.
She added that the corporation would harness the topographical feature of the site, with its high, medium and low densities to maintain environmental sustainability.
