The management of Bayero University, Kano, on Sunday said that its lecturer, Mr. Saminu Aliyu-Kiri, who was kidnapped in Kaduna State on Thursday night, had regained freedom.
The Director, Public Affairs of the university, Malam Ahmed Shehu, said the lecturer, who regained freedom on Friday, had since reunited with his family in Kano.
Shehu, who did not state whether any ransom was paid to secure his release, said it was by what he called the miracle of God that the lecturer left the kidnappers’ den.
Aliyu-Kiri of the Faculty of Computer Science of the BUK, was kidnapped along with two others in Kaduna State, while returning from an official engagement in Saki, Oyo State.
