As part of its commitment to rewarding excellence, hard work and dedication, Sterling Bank has announced the promotion of 566 members of staff.
In a statement on Tuesday, the bank’s Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director, Yemi Adeola, said that the promotion was implemented across junior, middle and senior management cadres, using a transparent and robust performance management system in line with global best practices.
Among the promoted workers, she stated, was Mr. Emmanuel Emefienim, who was elevated to the position of General Manager.
Adeola noted that Emefienim’s promotion was based on his solid and consistent contributions to the growth and success of the bank over the years.
According to her, Mr. Olayinka Oni was appointed as the bank’s new Chief Information Officer.
The statement explained that Oni joined the bank from Microsoft Inc. where he served as the Chief Technology Officer of the Nigerian unit.
Speaking on Oni’s appointment, Adeola expressed his optimism that the new CIO would deliver on the bank’s commitment to leverage technology effectively in fulfilling its “One Customer” promise.
