With the brutality and uncivilised manner in which men of the Nigeria Police operate, the need to reform the force cannot be over-emphasised. The policemen have to undergo training in how to investigate crimes in a civilised way.
They need to be taught how to deal with the masses without behaving like animals towards them. Government needs to provide for them (Police) the necessary gadgets needed for modern day policing. Police welfare needs to be taken seriously, their housing and all monetary entitlements need to be at par with the economic reality on the ground.
